Taylor Swift just dropped $13,000 on a giant 140-foot inflatable friendship bracelet from her Eras Tour, and honestly, it’s more than just an oversized accessory. This wasn’t a regular merch moment, as this was the bracelet that hung outside Caesars Superdome in New Orleans during her sold-out shows in October 2024. Her company, Firefly Entertainment Inc., bought the piece and is handling the whole pick-up and delivery thing.
So, what’s the big deal with this giant bracelet? First of all, it’s a Swiftie symbol. The idea came from Abby Jones at ASM New Orleans and was brought to life by artist Shawn Kolodny. Each “bead” is seven feet tall and made of nylon, like the original friendship bracelets. It spelled out “Taylor Swift The Eras Tour” and needed forklifts just to hang. The giant accessory is basically a love letter to the fans and their iconic bracelet exchanges.

If you’re new to the friendship bracelet trend, it started with a lyric from Taylor’s 2022 hit “You’re On Your Own, Kid.” that goes “Everything you lose is a step you take / So make the friendship bracelets, take the moment and taste it.” And boom! Swifties ran with it, turning shows into bracelet-swapping festivals. Even Travis Kelce joined in, trying to give Taylor one with his number on it.
