Jackson was just 12 or 13 when he experienced his first love — and his first heartbreak. One day, out of the blue, she dumped him over text because she was “in love with another guy.” The other guy’s? John. And ever since, that name has been a total trigger for Jackson. He jokingly admitted, “John” became a trauma word, though the breakup hurt for real.
He said he cried so hard that day, and remembered every little thing, from the rain to the song that was playing. It hit him harder than walking a red carpet at the Met Gala, he joked. The guy may be a fashion icon and chart-topper now, but his heartbreak story proves that sometimes, the feels hit just as hard as the fame. Hopefully, Jackson’s love life has leveled up since then!
