BTS is still making waves in the United States despite being on hiatus due to their military duties. The idols are still making huge accolades, like no other boy group can nowadays, and fans couldn’t be prouder of the boys’ achievements.
On June 24, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) updated its official Gold & Platinum list, which recognizes singles and albums based on certified sales and streams in the U.S. Fortunately, BTS was there to break some major records!
BTS earned new platinum certifications for “Run,” “Blood Sweat & Tears,” “DNA,” and “Fake Love,” each surpassing 1 million units in combined sales and streams in the United States. The new certifications made BTS the holder of 13 platinum records, extending their record for the most RIAA Platinum certifications by any K-pop act.
The group had previously earned Platinum certifications for hits like “MIC Drop,” “Boy With Luv,” “IDOL,” and “Butter.” What an amazing day to be a BTS fan, better known as ARMY. You can celebrate this amazing record by streaming the boys’ latest single:
