BTS’ Suga is still making headlines after his discharge from the South Korean military, which was apparently uncovered for his DUI incident last year. However, the idol moved on and he is still making meaningful projects in South Korea regardless of the public opinion.
On June 23, Severance Hospital announced the establishment of a specialized treatment center for individuals with ASD. The hospital made a partnership with Suga called the “Min Yoongi Treatment Center” after he donated $3.6 million.
The new center will focus on language, psychological, and behavioral therapies, and operate diverse programs that integrate clinical care and research to support mental health. BTS’ Suga has consistently engaged in charitable activities, showcasing his particular concern for mental health issues.
“It’s been a blessing to be involved in the treatment process for children with ASD. I’ll continue to support efforts that help more children become part of our community.”
