Ju Haknyeon, the recently removed member of THE BOYZ, is shaking up the K-pop scene by telling his side of the story. The idol spoke out after his agency, ONE HUNDRED, announced he was leaving the group due to a scandal involving former adult film actress Asuka Kirara. According to Haknyeon, he never agreed to the contract termination and was unfairly removed from THE BOYZ.
The controversy began when online rumors claimed Ju Haknyeon was spotted with Asuka Kirara in Yokohama following an award ceremony. Initially, the idol was accused of engaging in prostitution, a claim he denied through a handwritten letter. Days after, ONE HUNDRED posted a statement saying Haknyeon’s contract had ended upon mutual decision. Yet, on June 20, he came forward with a long, emotional post on social media, calling the agency’s claims “one-sided” and stating that he had refused their demand for over 200 million KRW (around 145,000 USD). Then, he insisted that he never agreed to leave THE BOYZ.

Haknyeon also firmly denied any involvement in prostitution, challenging media outlets to present concrete evidence. “I have not committed any illegal act,” he stated, adding that he felt “scared and exhausted” but refused to stay silent. The singer promised to take legal action, both civil and criminal, against those spreading unfounded accusations. Meanwhile, The B (that’s the BOYZ’s fandom) keep watching and hope for the best resolution.
