BTS dominated the K-pop scene in 2018 with their album, “Love Yourself: Tear,” featuring several hit singles. However, one of the songs that brought something fresh to the table was BTS’ V’s solo track, “Singularity.”
The song was originally released on May 7, 2018, presenting a R&B track infused with neo-soul jazz. Taehyung’s deep and soulful vocals were the ones to be highlighted from the project, and Americans are just well aware of it.
On June 13, several American media outlets reported that BTS’ V’s track, “Singularity,” has surpassed 1 million units sold in the United States, making it eligible for a RIAA platinum certification. This would become one of the first times the idol got a platinum certification on his own.
