King Charles III and David Beckham have had such a genuine and amazing friendship over the years. Despite the several altercations with Prince Harry, Beckham still stands strong with the Royal Family, and he is almost considered part of the family.
The former England football captain has been nominated for a knighthood since 2011, and it seems 2025 was just his year. Beckham has been supporting the Royal Family since forever, as he was appointed an officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2003, and also became an ambassador for The King’s Foundation in 2024, supporting King Charles’ education programme.
It is expected that David Beckham will receive his knighthood at King Charles III’s birthday ceremony. Then, Mr. Beckham will kneel on his right knee on a knighting-stool before King Charles III, who will lay the blade of a sword on Mr. Beckham’s right shoulder, followed by his left, and become part of the Knights.
In addition, Beckham’s wife, Victoria, will also get a title and will henceforth be known as Lady Beckham. All of the Beckham family’s efforts, charity, and philanthropy have made them worthy of this recognition, which has been snubbed for several years.
