King Charles III’s rising reign has been received with mixed criticism from the British media outlets and the British people. The King has been under cancer treatment. However, he hasn’t been completely absent from the British Monarchy, and he is slowly proving he was worthy of becoming the Monarch of the United Kingdom.
On May 30, the Reserve Bank of New Zealand confirmed that a ten-cent coin with the image of King Charles III has been approved for production. The quality-checking photos were released in the statement, giving a first look at the actual coin.
Ian Woolford, RBNZ director of money and cash, stated that New Zealanders could expect to see it change around 2027. The coin is stamped with the year 2024, which is when RBNZ placed the order with the Royal Canadian Mint. New Zealand does not have a mint, so the coins are produced overseas.
“We will let everyone know when the King Charles III coins are due to enter circulation as the time nears.”
