Swifties have their detective hats on again—and this time, all clues point to a “Reputation (Taylor’s Version)” announcement happening at the AMAs. From cryptic website updates to merch discounts, Taylor Nation is convinced the snakes will be biting us again around May 26–27, 2025.

Let’s back it up for the casuals: Taylor Swift has been re-recording her first six albums to reclaim ownership of her masters after a very public battle with Scooter Braun. So far, she’s released “Fearless (TV),” “Red (TV),” “Speak Now (TV),” and “1989 (TV)”—each one dropped with new tracks, nostalgic vibes, and fresh goodies. That leaves two re-recordings left: the moody, edgy, blackout-snake era that is “Reputation” and Taylor’s self-titled era.

And the clues? They’re adding up fast! For starters, Taylor’s website recently glitched out to spell “A M A S.” The Reputation-themed merch is 26% off, and the rep shop says orders “ship by May 27, 2025.” She performed “Getaway Car” with Jack Antonoff on May 26 at the Eras Tour, and her last tweet for the tour was also posted on—you guessed it—May 26. Also, fun numerology moment: she has 676 Instagram posts…Coincidence? Not if you speak fluent Swiftie!
Oh, and Tiffany Haddish is set to appear at the AMAs. Why does that matter? She famously quoted Taylor’s iconic Reputation line—“The old Taylor can’t come to the phone right now… why? ’Cause she’s dead!”—during the original Reputation Tour. With all these clues lining up like a vault track tracklist, it all just seems to be a matter of time. And Swifties are betting the AMAs will be the stage where the old Taylor rises from the dead… in full Reputation mode. Stay tuned—and maybe keep your eyes on the streaming platforms to pre-save, just in case.
