But while Hailey was serving mom vibes, Justin previously stirred the internet pot. After Hailey’s solo Vogue cover dropped, Justin posted it to his Instagram with a caption that raised thousands of eyebrows. He opened with a story about a past fight where he once told Hailey she’d never land a Vogue cover, calling the moment “so mean” and a result of feeling “disrespected.” He tried to wrap it with a growth moment and an apology: “Forgive me for saying u wouldn’t get a Vogue cover cuz clearly I was sadly mistaken.”

The post quickly drew backlash for turning Hailey’s big moment into a private fight they had, and also sparked conversations about Justin Bieber’s alleged toxic attitude towards his wife. Following the controversy, the singer swapped the caption for (what seems to be) random emojis. Most recently, he became the talk of the Internet after supporting Chris Brown’s release on bail following his London arrest.
In a recent interview, Hailey got real about motherhood’s emotional toll—sharing that her postpartum experience included body image struggles and even hemorrhaging during Jack’s birth.
