Coachella 2025 sure has been treating K-pop fans right! With performances by BLACKPINK’s Jennie, Lisa, ENHYPEN, XG, and Keshi, the festival gave stans a treat. But guess what? In the world of K-pop, live-signing drama is always a thing, and this time, Lisa, Jenni,e and even LE SSERAFIM were brought into the conversation. Let’s see what the fuss is all about:
#3. LE SSERAFIM wasn’t so bad?: Let’s start with LE SSERAFIM, whose 2024 Coachella performance was dragged for “unstable vocals” and poor live singing.. The girls faced a storm of criticism after going live during their first set, to the point where they adjusted for week two of the festival. Fast-forward to 2025, and fans are now demanding apologies in retrospect. Oh, how the tables have turned!

#2. Jennie’s backtrack criticism: Jennie hit the Coachella stage solo in 2025 and gave us glitz, glam, and… lots of backtrack? While her performance visuals were undeniably stunning, fans on Reddit and X noticed a major lack of live vocals, calling out her stamina and mic technique. Some even claimed she “screamed” into the mic at times and questioned why LE SSERAFIM got hate for their live vocals in the first place.
Jennie Coachella performance was horrible no outfit changes lip singing throughout almost all of her songs she has no stamina out of breath and tired and it’s only been two minutes, the stage design/concept/setlist/audio/lighting is messy Everything is all over the place

#1. Lisa’s backing track and lip sync scandal: Then there’s Lisa, who is at the center of lip sync drama this year. While her dancing was top-tier, viewers clocked how often she relied on pre-recorded vocals. Songs like “Money” and “New Woman” had Lisa skipping lyrics entirely or letting the crowd handle them.
Lisa becomes first artist in history to lip sync at four major Events/shows.
