Things got messy in the NewJeans fan club, and now, they’re publicly apologizing! After some insults were posted about ADOR’s CEO Ju Young Kim, the fan club issued a full-blown apology, taking the blame for not keeping things in check among some Bunnies (that’s their fandom name). The drama erupted after screenshots of the malicious comments went viral, dragging not only the CEO but even linking her to HYBE’s CEO in a controversial way.
On April 12, the fan club posted a statement expressing their regret. They owned up to the toxic commentary and admitted to failing at moderation:
“We feel responsible for the serious insults and malicious comments regarding ADOR’s CEO, Ju Young Kim, and apologize for what occurred in our fan club. The offensive comments made by our members in the fan club cannot be forgiven with any excuse. We also deeply regret that there were no edits or corrections to the comments made.”
The #NewJeans fan community on Cafe Daum have issued an apology to ADOR CEO Kim Joo-young for the "crude and excessive" hate comments they have made about her. (Likely because legal action has been taken)https://t.co/XlumSISUNM pic.twitter.com/79TQccd2TB

Meanwhile, it’s still unclear whether NewJeans will be able to come back from their legal drama with ADOR. For now, the group is banned from doing any entertainment activities, which is leaving a question mark in their fandom.
