EXO was one of the first Kpop groups to emerge on the scene almost more than a decade ago. The boys are still the talk of the town every time they release a musical project, and that’s why their fandom, better known as EXO-L, keeps increasing as the years go by.
EXO’s 13th anniversary is approaching and the tensions between EXO-L and SM Entertainment have reached its climax. Previously, the music agency announced a celebratory live event featuring members Suho, Chanyeol, D.O., and Kai, making the notorious absence from Chen, Baekhyun, Xiumin, and Lay—along with Sehun’s ongoing military service.
EXO-L was completely outraged after the announcement because they believed the celebration must include the nine members of the boy band. Ultimately, they are using the hashtag #EXO_IS_NINE to demand unity for the milestone occasion.
The fandom also popped up outside SM Entertainment’s headquarters with a protest truck plastered with banners. The banner’s message is clear: “13 years of EXO, 9 hearts as one.” The tension keeps increasing, and SM hasn’t commented on the situation.
THE TRUCK HAS ARRIVED. THE MESSAGE IS CLEAR.
From 12NN–8PM KST, our protest truck will stand loud and clear in front of SM Entertainment.
This was made possible by every EXO-L who fought for justice and stood for CBXL and EXO.
You can’t silence us. You can’t erase CBXL from… https://t.co/4PmThMyqa4 pic.twitter.com/xvAV26odnW
