Her remarkable journey through the South Korean entertainment world included countless iconic roles in movies and TV shows like Notebook From My Mother (2017), Commitment (2013), and The City of Violence (2006). Notably, this was not her first battle against cancer. Thirty years ago, at 50, doctors gave her just one year to live after diagnosing her with stage 3 breast cancer—yet she beat the odds back then.
