Netflix’s “Squid Game” franchise has become one of the most popular shows among the Netizens. Ultimately, the latest season of the show has surpassed the records set by its predecessor, proving the show is soaring to new heights.

Netflix’s internal figures from December 23 to December 29, 2024, the “Squid Game,” season 2 reached 487.6 million viewing hours just four days after its initial release on December 26. An astonishing record ending the year.

The show debuted at number 1 in the Global Top 10 (Non-English) TV shows category. Its total views hit 68 million, securing the top spot overall. This performance beats the first-week record of the first season of the “Squid Game,” which made 50.1 million views at the time.
