It’s been a whirlwind month for the five members of NewJeans. After having a press conference on November 28 to announce their contract termination with ADOR, the quintet has been under legal controversy. But now, they just revealed their first post-ADOR gig: a mini Christmas Day concert on CBS Standard FM’s News Show. But here’s the catch: NewJeans didn’t even give ADOR a heads-up, leaving the agency totally shocked.

Meanwhile. the agency reaffirms that the contract is still in full effect, and they’ve even filed a lawsuit to prove it. In response, the NewJeans members remain firm that ADOR didn’t fulfill their agreement and failed to protect them. In the middle of this legal drama, ADOR filed a lawsuit on December 3, yet the girl group keeps having group activities outside of ADOR.

Ultimately, the matter of who gets to keep the NewJeans brand is also confusing. The quintet insists they will fight for the use of the group’s name, while ADOR urges them to reconsider their position and return to the agency.
