A shocking revelation by the NewJeans member puts the spotlight on HYBE for all the wrong reasons
HYBE is under fire after NewJeans’ Hanni spoke out about alleged workplace bullying during a YouTube livestream. The “Super Shy” singers took to social media to reveal several situations going on in their workplace, unveiling an unsettling experience. According to Hanni, a manager reportedly instructed another group to “ignore” her while passing by, a statement that has sparked an investigation by South Koreaโs Ministry of Employment and Labor.

“I canโt understand why I had to go through that,” the NewJeans member said during the video.
The formal investigation will focus on whether HYBE violated South Korea’s Labor Standards Act, specifically concerning workplace harassment. Fans were quick to rally behind Hanni, expressing shock at her treatment and demanding answers from the company.
Hanni’s fellow NewJeans member, Minji, also shared her worries about the lack of protection for the group since the removal of their former CEO, Min Hee Jin. Wrapping up the video, the quintet demanded HYBE to reinstate their former CEO by September 25, a command that seems to be unlikely to happen.
