Author Robert Jobson reveals in his new book ‘Catherine, The Princess of Wales: The Biography‘, an anecdote that shows how Queen Camilla punishes Prince William when he is ‘disrespectful’ to those higher than him in the monarchy.
The Queen has always known her place in the British monarchy and does not tolerate disrespectful attitudes from anyone; according to Jobson, this was evident when the Prince and Princess of Wales wanted to join Charles III’s security convoy, which had a stipulated departure time to leave Windsor, and the young couple did not arrive on time.
“When Charles was kept waiting several minutes for the couple, Camilla insisted they go without them“, according to the expert, this was with the intention of teaching the Prince a lesson in responsibility. The author added, “As William and Catherine emerged, all they could see were the blue flashing lights of the motorcycles disappearing in the distance“.
While it is true that Prince William plays a very important role in the monarchy, his father is currently above him; that is why making him wait could be considered an insult. Queen Camilla was clear about it, which is why she motivated her husband to leave without his eldest son as a punishment so that he would understand his place.
