In recent days, the South Korean artist, Rowoon, surprised all his fans by announcing that he will focus on his successful acting career, which is why he will abandon activities with his K-Pop group SF9.
This boy group that debuted under the FNC Entertainment agency in 2016, and which until now would have worked as a 9-member group, renewed its contract with the company, excluding the 27-year-old Kim Seok-woo, better known as Rowoon.
For some years now, Rowoon has been expanding his career in the South Korean entertainment industry to the world of acting, having a good reception from the public, particularly in projects such as:
‘Extraordinary You‘ (2019), ‘The King’s Affection‘ (2021), ‘She Would Never Know‘ (2021), ‘Tomorrow‘ (2022), and the currently airing ‘Destined With You‘.
Taking into account the great popularity of the artist as an actor and the success of these productions, available on Netflix, Rowoon could no longer be part of the activities of the K-Pop group, and even their projects as a model, because they intervene in his career in acting.
After the official announcement of this news by the agency, the South Korean shared a handwritten letter to his fans through his official Fan cafe, in which he reveals that he wants to focus on new challenges in his career, this being the reason for leaving SF9.
In this statement to his fans, the artist made clear his fears about anouncing this decision, and that he has been “hiding” with a “complacent attitude“. However, he has decided to muster the courage to announce a new stage and hopes to be supported on this path.
