BTS‘ J-Hope was one of the artists who performed at the New Year’s Rockin’ Eve 2023 in Times Square, where the traditional ball drop is held to mark the start of the New Year. The idol sang a three-song medley for a space of 6 minutes and, after completing his set, he received the 2023 among the excited crowd.
After arriving at his hotel after the event, Jung Hoseok made a live broadcast and referred to some mishaps that occurred in this solo activity.
Before the Rockin’ Eve show started on ABC, J-Hope suffered a hard fall on stage. The artist was doing the sound check and dress rehearsal when he slipped while walking on some steps that were wet due to the rain that had been falling since the afternoon.
J-Hope got up quickly, but fans were concerned about a possible blow to his wrist after the watch he was wearing came loose. According to some fan images, the idol’s face showed his discomfort with what happened.

“During the rehearsal it was raining and the floor got slippery“, he explained on the Weverse Live broadcast.
“I think the most unfortunate thing was the weather. When I arrived it was fine, but today it got really bad“, J-Hope added.
The rapper also admitted that he was a bit dissatisfied with the staging because he couldn’t hear himself well on the return headphones.
“I think my voice was a little shaky because of that“, he expressed.
“But that’s all in the past and it’s a new year that I’ll be spending with you guys, so I want to start it off happy“, he finally added.
