Through a video on her social networks, singer Céline Dion informed that she was diagnosed with a rare neurological disease that is incurable.

For such reason, she was forced to cancel her tour after having already cancelled some concerts in the past, as this disease has caused her mobility problems.
“Hello everyone, sorry it took me so long to get in touch with all of you.
I miss you all so much and I can’t wait to get on stage and talk to you in person.
As you know, I’ve always been an open book and I wasn’t ready to say anything before, but I am now,” she began.
The singer opened up to her audience and acknowledged that it has been difficult for her to deal with the health issues that have come up lately,
“I have had health issues for a long time and it has been very difficult for me to deal with them and talk about everything that has happened to me. I have recently been diagnosed with a very rare neurological disorder called Stiff Person Syndrome, which affects 1 in a million people,” she explained.
Céline Dion reported that she is now calm as she has a diagnosis after having “spasms“ that at first glance had no explanation, however she is still trying to understand her disease, “Although we are still learning about this rare disease, we now know what has been causing all the spasms I have been having,” she commented.
The ‘singer also informed that she is already taking therapies and under the instructions of doctors to try to slow down the process of the disease,
“I have a great team of doctors working by my side to help me get better and my precious children, who support me and help me…. I am working hard with my sports medicine therapist every day to regain my strength and my ability to perform again, but I have to admit it has been a struggle.
“
Finally, Dion explained that it was not easy for her to cancel her concerts as it is what she loves to do, “All I know is that singing is what I have done all my life and what I love to do the most. I miss you all very much. I miss seeing you all on stage performing for you,” she concluded.
