The girls have proven that they can dominate the K-Pop industry in the US, in a recent GQ magazine article, dedicated to “the curious of K-Pop“, highlighting these popular girl group songs that will make you dance.

1. Red Velvet‘s “Psycho” was released on December 23rd, 2019 and is part of the album “The ReVe Festival: Red Velvet Finale“.

“2019’s “Psycho” came right at the end of the year and made quite an impact. It has moderate power, mainly thanks to the members’ impeccable harmonies, which is etched in the annals of K-Pop history“.

3. BLACKPINK‘s “DDU-DU DDU-DU” was released on June 15th, 2018 as part of the “Square Up” album.

4. EVERGLOW‘s “LA DI DA“ was released on September 21, 2020 on the album “−77.82X−78.29”

“EVERGLOW’s “LA DI DA” gives us some aggressive synth-pop and, as K-Pop is wont to do, cranks the amp up to eleven. K-Pop is at its best when it commands a perfect chorus, and it’s hard to imagine a more impressive and exciting choir than this“.

5. NewJeans‘ “Hype Boy” was released on August 1st, 2022 as part of the album “New Jeans”

“Taking inspiration from Y2K aesthetics and soundscapes, it demonstrates the rule that trends run on a 20-year cycle. NewJeans is part of a new class of exciting artists emerging on the scene, joined by newcomers IVE and LE SSERAFIM“.
