The South Korean entertainment industry is once again on alert for COVID-19. In recent days, the number of K-pop idols infected with the new coronavirus has skyrocketed. The diagnosis of at least 20 artists in just seven days was confirmed by their respective agencies.
The bad news paralyzed comebacks, debuts, and event agendas, since girlbands and boybands tend to mobilize a lot during promotions (greater chance of contagion). Groups like THE BOYZ are still in quarantine to rule out that other members have also acquired the virus.
It should be noted that, so far, all the reported singers do not have severe health complications and are vaccinated, according to their music agencies. This is a list of all the groups that have been affected by the COVID-19 outbreak since Wednesday, January 19.
