Stray Kids concerts in Saudi Arabia were highly anticipated by fans attending the Riyadh Seasons festival; however, they were canceled just hours after they started, on the night of January 14 (AST).
The event is a multi-week entertainment festival in Saudi Arabia that includes different types of art. It started in 2019 and had BTS as its first k-pop guest. The following year it postponed its edition due to COVID-19.
In 2021, the cultural event made a strong comeback and announced Stray Kids and Chungha as part of its 2022 concert lineup. Those events were scheduled for this January 14 (AST).
However, hours before the performance began, and with thousands of fans from all over the world waiting to see the artists in person, Riyadh Season announced the cancellation via social media due to a strong storm.
“Due to extreme weather conditions tonight’s Stray Kids and Chungha show has been postponed. We will provide further updates soon” they tweeted.
